On July 28th, 2023, at 18:18 at Parkview Huntington Hospital, God granted us an angel by the name of Blakelynn Marie Rose Samuel. Although she spent only 5 ½ days on this earth, she is forever present in the heart of her mother, Jocelynn Samuel. While in the arms of her devoted mother, she passed to the arms of Jesus at 7:44am Thursday August 3rd, 2023. Blakelynn is the answer to her mother’s prayers and perfect in every way.
Blakelynn is greeted in Heaven by two great grandfathers and a great grandmother. She is cherished and loved by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is blessed to have extended grandparents and great grandparents, as well as, two amazing uncles, and cousins that love her.
Although her time with us on this Earth was brief, she experienced an abundance of love and touched so many lives in the 133 precious hours the Lord blessed her family with. She enjoyed the sunshine in her mother’s arms, watching Little Mermaid with her Mamaw, listening to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles with her Papaw, receiving her perfect dusty pink bow by her Uncle Tyler, and the blessing of a pink elephant by her Uncle Drake. She is adored by her cousins and so many more.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 9th, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home on 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash. Service will follow, with Pastor Bill Sheets, of Bunker Hill Free Will Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville, Indiana. Friends may call between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Her family is grateful for the loving care provided by the staff of Parkview NICU, close friends, and family that supported her mother during this difficult but valued time. Preferred memorial is Remembering Rowan foundation.
