Billy Ray Pitman, 78, of Jonesboro, passed away in his home at 6:02 am on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on Friday, August 31, 1945, to Bill and Oshie (Tarter) Pitman.
He worked as a Press Operator at Pierce Company. He loved fishing, hanging out with his friends and drinking beer. He also loved playing horseshoes and euchre. Billy loved his grandkids very much.
Billy is survived by his daughters, Paula (June Studebaker) Pitman of Jonesboro, Angie (Reyes) Gonzales of Flora; grandchildren, Roberto Gonzales of Flora, Gabriella Gonzales of Flora, Mark Gonzales of Flora, Dakota Pitman of Jonesboro; great-granddaughter, Ella Gonzales of MI; and sister, Dean (Raymond) Brown of Marion.
He was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Oshie Pitman; and brothers, Harold Pitman and Amos Pitman.
At Billy’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
