Betty L. Hasty, age 97, of Huntington, passed away Monday January 7, 2019, at 5:00 pm at her home. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1939. She worked at Wabash Magnetics for 20 years, retiring in 1981. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed quilting and reading.
Betty was born September 9, 1921, in Huntington, the daughter of Herman and Martha Schultz. On May 10. 1941 she married Clayton Kramer in Huntington and he passed away in 1946. On July 26, 1948 she married Frederick Galen Hasty in Peru and he passed away in 1997. Betty is survived by a daughter Joan Bowers of Huntington, 7 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren 17 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters Linda Kramer and Memory Ann Parker, 2 sisters Ruth Shearer and Margie Selle, a brother Paul Schultz and a grandson Michael Simmons.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel, preceding the 12:00 pm funeral service. Pastor Mark Vincenti will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Star of Hope Cemetery.
