Betty L. Bradford, 94, LaFontaine, passed away at 1:47 pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. She was born in Manchester, Ohio, on Friday, May 18, 1928. She was married to Jackie Hochstedler, who preceded her in death.
Betty was an inspector for 32 years with Foster-Forbes. She enjoyed staying home, but she loved going to the Eagles Lodge on Friday and Saturday. She especially enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus at the Eagles. She was an avid Betty Boop fan and collector.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Patty Smith; step-son, Eddie Hochstedler; sister, Alice Bennington; and brothers, Russell Gifford and Loran Gifford.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Martin) Gifford; sisters, Shirley Schadler and Mary Evans; brothers, Edward Gifford, Samuel Gifford, and Junior Gifford; and sister-in-law, Janet Gifford.
A graveside service will take place at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating.
