Basil Emery Davis, 80, Marion, passed away at 1:40 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Aperion Care-Marion. He was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Thursday, August 21, 1941, to Elmer and Chloe (Worth) Davis.
Basil graduated from Muncie Southside High School and was a forklift driver with General Motors, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Moose in Gas City, Eagles in Marion, the NRA, and the Sympathy Club at General Motors. He loved fishing, traveling and his three baby girls; Princess, Rebel and Tinker.
Survivors include his daughter, Tonia (Lee) Hobbs of Springport; grandchildren, Jacob A. Dunbar, Nicholas Hobbs, and Brittany Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Zander Hummer and Carissa Franzee; step-children, Kricket McCaffery, Sherry Small, and Lee Small.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer B. and Chloe Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Lloyd and James Lloyd; and his wife, Judy Davis.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN.
