Barbara A. Musick

Barbara A. Musick, 85, Marion, passed away in her home at 8:39 am on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was born in Elwood, Indiana, on Wednesday, May 27, 1936, to Harry and Georgia (Shoults) Craig.  On November 27, 1952, she married Elvy LeRoy Musick, and they shared 56 years together until he passed away on November 28, 2008.  

Barbara was a homemaker throughout her life and deeply loved her family.  She was blessed with a large and loving family who adored her.  When Barbara wasn’t serving her family, she volunteered at Wesleyan Health Care Center.  She also enjoyed ceramics, gardening, and photographing flowers. She was an avid reader and always shared her books with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Karren Leann Bartel of Van Buren; son, Rickie Lee (Rhonda) Musick of Marion; granddaughters, Sunshine “Pumpkin” (Randy) Reynolds, Cindy “Cindy Sue” (Joe) Herrmann, Kutabatha “Rosebud” (Jesse) Musick, and Rikki “Sissy” Musick; grandsons, Arren “Bud” (April) Griffith, Zackery “Jake” (Tiffany) McFarren, and Adam “Henry” Griffith; great-grandsons, Anthony “Popcorn” Gray, Braxton “Jitterbug” Gray, Jacob “Rhubarb” Gray, Kaleb “Kal” Gray, Joey “Raspberry” Herrmann, Eddy “Gooseberry” Herrmann, Jarren “Dynamite” Griffith, Korbin “Jake II” McFarren, Cameron “Jake III” McFarren, Isaac “Ike” Cary, Tyler “Tye” Griffith, Dulee “Lee” Musick, Hunter Berry, Isacc Horton Jr., and Kaysonn Robinson; great-granddaughters, Aleighcia “Allie” Gray, Britty “Strawberry” Herrmann, Jadelyn “Peanut” Griffith, Anna “Annie” McFarren, Mary Jane “MJ” McFarren, and Shyana Henry; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Joseph) Floriana; grandson, Yuba P. Johns; granddaughter, Shannon McFarren; and brother, James Craig.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Barbara’s life will begin at 12:00 noon.  Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial taking place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
