Arthur Leroy Broyles

Arthur Leroy Broyles, 89, of Warren, IN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 7:34 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Heritage Pointe in Warren.  He was born on Thursday, March 14, 1929, in Rockcreek Twp., Huntington Co., IN to Henry Martin & Aletha Mae (Hummer) Broyles.  He married Rosalind Miser on Thursday, March 21, 1968 in Markle, IN.  Arthur was a 1948 graduate of Rockcreek high school in Huntington Co. After high school he joined the National Guard for 6 years. He worked for GE in Fort Wayne as a wire mill operator for many years. He was an avid car and tractor collector and was a member of the Warren Antique Tractor Club. He was a volunteer at the Bread of Life Food Pantry and a member of the Solid Rock United Methodist Church both of Warren.

Loving survivors include: Wife of 50 years – Rose Broyles, Warren, IN, Daughter – Brenda (Kelly) Shaw, Warren, IN, Son – David (Joy) Broyles, Huntington, IN, Son – Daniel (Elaine) Broyles, Fort Wayne, IN, Grandchildren-Shannon (Dustin) Hughes, Roanoke, IN, Aaron (Jessica) Broyles, Markle, IN, Darren (Jennifer) Broyles, Huntington, IN, Kari Broyles, Markle, IN and Trevor (Julia) Broyles, Fort Wayne, IN, Step Grandchildren-Tracey Wilson, Chad Waters, Nicole Helvie, 5 Great Grandchildren, 8 Step Great Grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Henry Martin Broyles, Mother – Aletha Mae (Hummer) Broyles, Son – Thomas Broyles, Infant Son – Timothy Broyles, Daughter – Janet Kistler, Brothers – Norman Broyles, Charles Broyles, Dean Broyles, Sister – Donna Mae Holmes.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Solid Rock United Methodist Church 485 Bennett Drive, Warren on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul C. Burris officiating.  After the service all are welcomed to attend an ice cream social at the church. Interment will follow at a later date in the Lancaster Cemetery in rural Huntington County.

 

In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to donor’s favorite charity.
