Anna Theresa Bellamy

Anna Theresa Bellamy, 91, of Marion, Indiana, peacefully went to meet the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023. Anna was born on February 20, 1932, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Anthony and Theresa Del Greco. At the age of 22, she met David Bellamy, her former spouse, and moved to Marion, Indiana, in 1955 where she attended State Beauty College. Together in 1957, they opened Beauty by Bellamy which still stands today. They went on to open four more salons in Huntington, Gas City, and Wabash. Anna, always having a strong work ethic, worked there as a beautician up until the age of 91. Her daughter, April, worked alongside her for over 39 years. Anna served some of the same customers-who quickly became family-for over 45 years.

Anna Bellamy was a treasured friend, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and mamay (great-grandmother). Her smile lit up the room as she charmed everyone she met with her infectious laugh and quick wit. She lived her life well and with confidence, always speaking the truth. As a member of St. Paul Catholic Parish since 1955, Anna loved the Lord and committed her life to honoring Him. She sacrificially served those around her, making sure everyone always had a full belly and a happy heart. Anna loved her family fiercely and would have laid her life down for any of them. She also knew how to have fun and wasn’t afraid to hit the penny slots on the weekend at the casino. Anna bowled for over 50 years and was a member of the Rosary Society at her church. No one could wrap a perm like her, laugh like her, crack jokes like her, or love like her. Anna Theresa Bellamy was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by many.

Anna is survived by her daughter, April (Joseph) Preusz; brother, Albert (Judy) Del Greco; former spouse, David Bellamy; beloved grandsons, Blake (Julie) Preusz, Jonathan (Caitlin) Preusz, and Jordan (Lauren) Preusz; and great-grandchildren, Mila, Luca, Hudson, Charli, and Jonathan Wayne.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Del Greco; mother, Theresa Del Greco; and siblings, Joseph Del Greco, William Del Greco, Tony Del Greco, Evelyn Guadagnoli, and Mary Petreccia.
