Adam Shane Betzner

Adam Shane Betzner, age 27, was called to Heaven on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from an auto accident on his way to work.  Adam was born on May 24, 1990 to Chris and Janet Betzner.  The joy of Adam’s life was his son, Zayden Luke.  Adam had a kind heart and gentle, unique soul.

Adam attended St. Charles Elementary School and was a graduate of Peru High School.  He attended Indiana State University.   He enjoyed riding unicycles and was in the Peru Amateur Circus for 14 years.  Adam loved bowling and participated in the Miami County Bowling League and High School Bowling team.  Adam had a love for animals and also enjoyed bicycling.

Adam was employed by Frito-Lay in Frankfort and Dillman’s Furniture in Kokomo.  He is survived by his son Zayden, Kokomo IN, his parents Chris and Janet of Peru, sister Amanda (Matt) Maraldo, Danville, IN and sister Melissa Betzner, Fishers, IN.  Also, nephew Brennan Reinhardt, Fishers, IN, nephew Tiernan  Maraldo, Danville, IN and niece Camille Maraldo, Danville, IN.   Grandparents Norma Bowman, Peru, IN, Janet Ealy, Peru, IN and Jim and Nola Betzner, Bunker Hill, IN.   Special great uncle Cleo Hayes.  He was also loved by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.   Adam was preceded in death by his grandfathers Edward Bowman and Harold Ealy, uncles Brian and Kim Bowman, and cousin Katharine Jane Bowman.

Visitation will held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4pm -8pm at Flowers- Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street Peru, IN with a prayer service following visitation.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11am at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Fr. Adam Mauman officiating.  Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Zayden’s education fund through Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
