Brenda K. Reed, 65, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:18 am, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was born on June 14, 1958, in Peru, Indiana, to Paul M. and Mary L. (Hollingsworth) Griffith.

Brenda was a 1976 graduate of Peru High School. She married Dave Reed Jr. at the Parkview United Methodist Church in Peru on October 13, 1987. She worked at Kroger in Wabash 47 and a half years. Brenda enjoyed flowers and collecting Roosters, and was a very loving and giving person. She loved animals, especially her dog, Sammy and her cat, Charlie.  

She is survived by her husband, Dave Reed Jr. of Wabash; son, Cameron J. Reed of Wabash; brother and sisters, James V. (Betty) Hollingsworth of Galveston, Indiana, Mary Ellen  (Shelby Townsend) Campbell of Peru, LuAnn Griffith of Huber Heights, Ohio, Frances Echelbarger of King George, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jeffery A. Griffith.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 28, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Brad Eckerley officiating. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Friday, at the funeral home.
