Willa Dene Schwob, 80, of rural Marion, IN, passed away at 1:24 PM on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.  She was born on Saturday, October 3, 1936, in Winston Salem, NC to Dorman W. & Mary Madge (Taylor) Hudson.  She married Dale Schwob on Sunday, February 12, 1956 in Van Buren  at the Nazarene Church.  Willa Dene worked for the Appliance Factory/Essex in Van Buren for 20 years and was employed by the United Methodist Memorial Home/Heritage Pointe for 19 years in the housekeeping department. She made the most delicious pies; some of her family’s favorites were black raspberry and apple. Willa Dean enjoyed taking trips, antiques, gardening and collecting blue hob nail glass. She especially loved spending time with her family. Her and her husband attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Marion.

 

Loving survivors include: Husband – Dale Schwob, Daughter – Pam (Kenny) Brown, Warren, IN, Grandson – Heath Brown, Warren, IN, Granddaughter – Gretchen Brown, Warren, IN, Great Granddaughters – Kayla & Mackenzie Brown, Warren, IN, Sisters – Kathron Minnich, Warren, IN, Imogene (Harold) Williams and Carolyn (Fred) Solmer, Ft. Wayne, IN.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Father – Dorman W. Hudson, Mother – Mary Madge (Taylor) Hudson and Son – Jimmy Dale Schwob, who passed away in 1986.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 7:00.

 

A service to celebrate Willa Dene’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016; viewing will be held at 9:00AM until the service.  Pastors Mick Veach and Greg Clark  will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Marion National Cemetery in Marion at 11:00AM.

Arrangements are being handled by Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
