Wayne Betzner, 94, of Peru passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday night, the fourth of May, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Betty”, and his sons Stephen and David, his granddaughter Kristen Martindale and her husband Tyler, and his great-granddaughter Kate Martindale.
Mr. Betzner was past president of First Farmers Bank & Trust, and past president of the Independent Community Banks of Indiana. He attended Purdue University, and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin graduate school of banking. He was a past president of the Maconaquah School Board, and was active with the Miami County 4-H Fair, the Miami County Red Cross, and other community organizations.
A private service was held the seventh of May, 2016. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Helping Hands.
