Tommy Joe Carroll, 74, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:17 am, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor West in Wabash. He was born October 29, 1942 in Martin, Kentucky to Earl Carroll and Edna B. (Stumbo) Carroll Powell.
Tommy was an auto body man for 50 years. He enjoyed auto body restoration, and hanging out and drinking coffee at Village Pantry.
He is survived by five children, Kim (Mitch) Little of Wabash, Chris (Chrissy) Carroll of Crestwood, Kentucky, Mark (Amanda Hite) Carroll of Wabash, James (Amber Cox) Carroll of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Heather Carroll of Shelby, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janet (Bill) Hartley and Sandy Allen, both of Wabash, and Patty Carter of Ashland City, Tennessee, and his longtime companion, Mary Purcell of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa Carroll, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Danny Boone officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Saturday, at the funeral home.
