Ted Eugene Frieden, 83, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:10 a.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Wellbrooke of Wabash. He was born August 12, 1933 in North Manchester, Indiana to George and Opal (Krom) Frieden.
Ted was a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed sprint, midget, and NASCAR racing. He raced midget cars in Iowa in his younger years. His grandchildren and auto racing were his passions.
He is survived by four children, Brad (Debbie) Frieden of Wabash, Kathy (Rob) Smith of Columbia City, Indiana, Dianna (Cameron) Steiner of Roann, Indiana, and Marilyn Frieden of Warsaw, Indiana, brother, Leo (Bev) Frieden and sister, Bonnie Frieden both of North Manchester, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Keith Frieden, and one granddaughter, Grace Steiner.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Dora Christian Church, 2325 S Salamonie Dam Rd, Lagro, Indiana 46941, with Ron Kipfer officiating.
