Sybble L. Wohlford, age 83, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She worked at Wabash Magnetics for 18 years, retiring in 1995. She loved to cook and never sent anyone away hungry.
Sybble was born October 18, 1933, in Pike County, Arkansas, the daughter of John Oscar and Molly M. (Bashaw) Miller. On November 1, 1952 she married Harold D. Wohlford in Benton, Arkansas and he passed away April 16, 2013. She is survived by 3 sons Larry Lee Wohlford of Norfolk, VA, Dennis Ray Wohlford of Huntington, and Michael Dan (Patricia) Wohlford of Wabash, 2 daughters Debra Jo (Alfred) Mitchell of Wabash and Brenda Kay (Kenny) Hutton of Fort Wayne, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Preston Miller and OJ Miller, and 5 sisters Mary Jane Bellamy, Lura Ann Lindsey, Claudia Arnold, Maudia Hollingsworth and Ethel Belle Miller.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 13 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel and Saturday October 14 from 10-11 am preceding the 11 am funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Huntington.
