Sue Ellen (Goudy) Schwyn, 58, passed away in the comfort of her own home in Shelbyville, Indiana, on October 16, 2016.
Sue was born in Grant County on November 25, 1957, to Mark Goudy and Mary A. (Owen) Smith. She was a Gas City/Jonesboro resident most of her life and graduated from Mississinewa High School (Class of ’76). Known as “Rowdy” Goudy, Sue lived a spirited life and enjoyed having a good time with friends and family. She loved listening to rock music, occasionally letting the neighbors listen. Sue was a proud mother and grandmother. She moved to Shelbyville, Indiana, to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her granddaughter’s band concerts and plays.
Sue is survived by her sons, Dustin (Amanda) Schwyn and Jon Flora; her granddaughter, Hannah Schwyn; her sister, Cindy McNutt; and her brother, Tim Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary A. (Owen) Smith, and sister, Connie Ricks.
A memorial visitation/calling will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
