“Star” Starla A. Fields

“Star” Starla A. Fields, 55, passed away on October 21, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. Starla was born on July 13, 1961 in Rock Island, Illinois to David Mosher and Peggy (Osborn) Potter. She married Kenneth Fields on May 5, 1989 and he survives.

Star was the hardest working homemaker you could meet. She enjoyed knitting hats and baby blankets, loved gardening, and enjoyed collecting things, especially snow globes. She never met a stranger and when she wanted something, she went after it. She was very adventurous and even got to meet Elvis Presley. She enjoyed the time she spent volunteering at Helping Hands. Star loved spending time with her family.

Star is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fields, Fairmount; 2 daughters, Dispena Sartor-Fisher, Battle Creek MI, and Sarah Sartor, Flint, MI; son, Aristotle, Flint, MI; sister, Dawn Peters, Noblesville, IN; brother, David (Linda) Mosher, Guin, AL; in-laws, Dick and Betty Smelser, Fairmount, IN, and nieces and nephews, Krystal, Andy, Michael, Roxanne, Jessica, and Joshua.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Mosher and Peggy Potter, and her grandparents, Curtis and Gladys Osborn.

Arrangements for Star have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairmount Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery.
