Sharon Elaine (Jessee) Riggers, 78 of Huntington passed away at 3:57 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Sharon was a 1956 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. She had worked in food service as a hostess at Parkview Huntington Hospital for 4 years, retiring in 2002. She was a certified nursing aid at Miller’s Merry Manor and was an independent massage therapist for 15 years. She loved her grandchildren and was the best grandma ever.
She was born on January 14, 1938 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Otto S. and Berniece V. (Taylor) Jessee.
Survivors include a son: Coney (Teresa) Riggers of Wabash; two daughters: Heidi (Paul) Jacobs of Huntington; Audra (Richard Herber) Riggers of Warren; two sisters: Lois (Ray) Paxton of McCordsville, IN; Nellie Thibo of Plainfield, IN and two grandchildren: Kathleen Elaine and Timothy Jacobs of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond Cox, Keith Lyman Jessee, two sisters: Ruth Linville, Kittie Butler and her former husband and lifelong friend, Wallace Riggers.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1640 Grant Street, Huntington, Indiana.
