Scott Thomas Gosnell

Scott Thomas Gosnell, 55, lifetime resident of Marion, died in his home at 9:13 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was born in Marion to the late Charles and Carol (Scott) Gosnell. On November 19, 1988, Scott married Anita Smith, and she survives.

After his 1981 graduation from Marion High School, Scott enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country. Following his military service, he worked at Diamond Trucking until they closed. He then worked at LCK as a dump truck driver for the last three years.

Scott was a huge Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed playing poker. His family was his greatest love, though. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and looked forward to family get-togethers.

He will be missed by his wife of 29 years, Anita; daughter, Casey (Taylon Robbins) Gosnell, Marion; son, Luke Gosnell, Kentucky; granddaughter, Claire Robbins, Marion; grandson, Silas Prater, Kentucky; brother, Joe (Kelly) Gosnell, Amboy; nieces, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Julianne Gosnell; and uncle, Donnie (Phyllis) Scott, Marion.

The family will have a memorial visitation from 12-2 p.m. with Scott’s memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Gethsemane Episcopal Church, 803 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
