Rick E. Arivett, 59, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 1:19 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Arivett was born on October 30, 1957, in Huntington, IN, to Oscar “Ray” and Carol (Lee) Arivett. His parents preceded him in death.
Rick graduated from Huntington North High School in 1976. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea. Rick worked in graphic arts equipment sales and maintenance. Rick was an avid outdoorsman that loved to camp and fish. He enjoyed the last couple years by traveling in his travel trailer.
Rick is survived by one son, Dylan Arivett, Huntington, IN, one brother, Steve (Ann) Arivett, Warren, IN, two sisters, Susan Arivett, Fort Wayne, IN, Jean (Paris) Seibold, Andrews, IN; ex-wife and friend, Linda Arivett; and 9 nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Carole (Candy) Arivett; maternal grandparents, James and Augusta “Babe” Lee-Rich; and paternal grandparents, Lancy and Lessie Arivett.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
A Funeral Service will be held after the calling hours at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN
A private burial will be held at a later date.
