Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Bishop Keith Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Huntington County.

Phyllis was born on June 19, 1929 in Huntington, the daughter of Ray and Isabell (Hosler) Booker. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1947 and married Robert Junior Grimes on December 24, 1947 in Huntington; he preceded her in death on May 31, 2003. She retired in 1991 from Triad-Utrad in Huntington after 25 years of service as a machine operator. Phyllis was a member of Union Church in Huntington County and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son – Michael J. Grimes of LaFontaine; two daughters – Janelle A. (Terry) Beaver of North Manchester and Lisa K. (Chris) Schmidt of Warren; four grandchildren – Dustin Schmidt, Devin Raymond, Sara Beaver, and Chad Beaver, and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steven J. Grimes, and her brother, Robert Booker.
