Peggy Lou Herendeen, 88, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:25 am, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born November 7, 1928 in Akron, Indiana to Cloyce and Edith (Pontius) Geiger.
Peggy was a graduate of Akron High School. She married Junior Herendeen in Akron on September 25, 1948; he died September 22, 2011. Peggy worked and retired from Wagner Industries after 27 years. She enjoyed reading, her dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Vicki Larrowe of Wabash, Mark A. (Rita) Herendeen of Converse, Indiana, and Erik K. (Marsha) Herendeen of Wabash, eight grandchildren, Todd Larrowe of Wabash, Shawn (Kristen) Larrowe of Swayzee, Indiana, Erica (Jason) Rose of Wabash, Nate (Amanda) Herendeen of Warsaw, Indiana, Casey Herendeen of Wabash, Travis (Molly) Herendeen of Otterbein, Indiana, Angel (John) Waters of Nashville, Tennessee, and Troy (Bry) Herendeen of Apex, North Carolina, 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Henry Geiger and Larry Geiger, sister, Sonia Geiger, and son-in-law, Ray Larrowe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2017 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tom Curry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30 – 2:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
