Mary Margaret “Meg” Berryhill

Mary Margaret “Meg” Berryhill, 76, Fairmount, died at 2:08 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, to the late William and Lizzie (Hensley) King. Meg married Guy V. Berryhill on June 10, 1959, and he survives.

Meg was a graduate of Marion High School and worked in Quality Control at RCA for 30 years until her retirement. She was very active in her church at Christian Pilgrim Tabernacle, serving as Sunday School teacher and Treasurer. One of her greatest accomplishments was teaching people to read and write and, therefore, volunteered her time at the Literacy Council in Grant County. Meg was also concerned about people who were less fortunate, making sure that they were fed. She also enjoyed quilting for her kids and grandkids. Her greatest joy in life was sharing her love for the Lord and watching her grandbabies play and grow.

Survivors include Guy, her husband of 57 years; children, Kimberly (Gregory) Kelch, La Vergne, Tennessee, Karen (Kenneth) Pollen and Kortney Mitchell, both from Fairmount; grandchildren, Gregory (Chelsea) Kelch, Mollie Kelch, Zachary (Jessica) Kelch, Brittany (Robert) Rosenbush, Amanda (James) Burkholder, Megan Pollen, Zane Mitchell, and Zoe Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Zyra, and Landen Kelch, Madelyn and Jaxson Rosenbush, and Bentley and Braxton Burkholder; sisters, Imogene Claflin, California, Sylvia (Gene) Berryhill, Gas City, and Anna (Glen) Shelton, Jalapa; and her dog, “Little Man”.

In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were sisters, Viola Gentry, Virginia Shanks, and Beulah and Bunea King, and her brother, Marion “Bud” Dudley.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Additional visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Meg’s funeral service is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Arthur Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
