Mary Louise Bushee, 97, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 8:25 a.m. at Heritage of Huntington, Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Bushee was born on May 24, 1919, in Dallas Township, Huntington County, to John Henry and Agnes (Miller) Reust. Her parents preceded her in death. Mary Louise married Donald D. Bushee on November 5, 1947, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2013.
Mary Louise worked as a nanny for several families in Huntington and later worked at GE and retired from Schacht Rubber Company. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN, St. Cecilia Solidity, Daughters of Isabella, Rosary Sodality and former member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 255, Huntington IN.
Mrs. Bushee is survived by two sons, Robert Eugene (Debra) Bushee, Hugoton, KS, Michael Joseph (Deanne) Bushee, Huntington, IN; two daughters, Linda Kay (Kevin) Goodnight, Huntington, IN, Joyce Elaine (Greg) Benjock, Mt. Pleasant, SC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Bushee was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Reust, Alfred Reust; and three sisters, Juanita Weaver, Rita Hamilton and Anna Josine Reust.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street Huntington, IN with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Additional calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, prior to Mass from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
