Mary L. Rinker Stone, 81, Gas City, died at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in her home. She was born in LaOtto, Indiana, to the late Stephen Wallace and Leota Beatrice (Miller) Lobdell. She married Robert Ralph Rinker on September 12, 1954, and he preceded her in death in January of 1984. She later married James Stone on February 16, 1985, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1998.
Mary was a homemaker and previously worked for Dennison’s Meat Market, RCA, Ralph’s Meat Market, and Thorne’s Meat Market. She was a member of Grace Community Church and the Moose Lodge. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW, the American Legion Post 10, and past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 10. Mary enjoyed volunteering her time at the VA.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Nikki) Rinker, Marion, Randell Rinker, Fort Wayne, Darrell Rinker, Marion, Gina (Roger) Anderson, Marion, Tamara (Brian) Childers, Marion; grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Rinker, Marion, Andy (Andrea) Rinker, Lafayette, Jeremy Rinker, Marion, Jennifer Rinker, Marion, Julie (Ryan) Rinker, Florida, James (Sissy) Anderson, Marion, Aaron Anderson, Muncie, and Brandon Childers, Marion; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Rinker, Lafayette, Jordan Rinker, Marion, Wesley Rinker, Marion, Hanna Anderson, Marion, Haileigh Anderson, Marion, Teagan Rinker, Gas City, Alexandria Rinker, Marion, Angeleah Rinker, Marion, and Kaden Rinker, Marion.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Carrie Boothby, Doug Lobdell, and Gene Lobdell.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
