Mary Jane (Prickett) Davis, 93, died Wednesday morning, July 12, 2017, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Hartford City. She was born in Marion, the daughter of the late William Prickett and Zelma (Burnworth) (Prickett) Shockley.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1942.
Mary Jane married Oren H. Davis on November 25, 1943, in Marion. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2009.
Mrs. Davis attended the Upland United Methodist Church and was a member of the Upland Historical Society. She was formerly employed with Taylor University in the Bookstore, and the VA Post Office.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Davis and Kevin Davis, both of Upland; two grandchildren, Todd Davis and Lisa (Ron) Farrer; one great granddaughter, Alanna (Hayden) Griffith; and two daughters-in-law, Diana Davis, Jonesboro, and Polly Davis, Anderson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Garry Davis and Jeffrey Davis; two sisters, Bonnie Kramer, and Opal Prickett; and her step-father, William Shockley.

Graveside Service will be held at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion, Indiana on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
