Marie F. Campbell, 88 of Huntington passed away at 6:55 am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Marie was a 1946 graduate of Andrews High School. She played softball with the Highway Queens Traveling Softball Team and won several championships. She had worked as a printing press operator at Noll Printing/Our Sunday Visitor for 38 years before her retirement in 1993. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Marie enjoyed all kinds of sports including bowling and golf.
Marie was born on March 12, 1928 in Huntington County, the daughter of Everett and Gertrude (Karst) Campbell.
Survivors include: close friend of 62 years: Ruth Emery of Huntington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Everett and Gertrude Campbell; two brothers: William Campbell, Alfred “Buss” Campbell and a sister: Martha Scheiber.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm with recitation of the rosary at 5:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, Indiana with Father Silvino Ndayambaje officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
