Lyla Donniece Tyner, 63, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:42 pm, October 4, 2016 at Marion General Hospital in Marion. She was born September 17, 1953 in Moberly, Missouri to Hershel and Josephine (Kanatzer) Reynolds.

Lyla was a 1971 graduate of Cairo High School in Cairo, Missouri, and attended Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri two years. She married Timothy Tyner in Moberly on July 22, 1973. She worked in the advertising department at Fort Wayne Newspapers. Lyla also worked at Clark’s Finer Food in Wabash and Scott’s Food Stores in Wabash and Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Church of Christ Eastwood in Wabash. Lyla enjoyed going to her grandkids activities. She also enjoyed reading, watching HGTV and the Food Channel. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana University Basketball fan.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Tyner; three daughters, Julie (Jerry) Hall, Saralyn Tyner, and Karina Tyner, all of Wabash, six grandchildren, Jared Hall of Muncie, Indiana, Colton (Cassie) Hall, Samuel Hall, Skyler Hall, Sierra Hall and Gabriella Hall; and her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Hall, all of Wabash; two brothers, David (Martha) Reynolds of Russellville, Missouri, and Ivan Reynolds of Cairo, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with her husband, Tim Tyner, Evangelist officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 pm Friday, October 7, 2016, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Lyla’s family for medical expenses.
