Judith I. Chaffin, 74, Marion, died on Sunday morning, March 13, 2016, in her home. She was born in Detroit, MI, to the late Roy and Marjorie (Moore) Buckley. On June 18, 1965, Judith married Charles Chaffin, and he survives.
Judith was a 1959 graduate of Marion High School. She worked as an Electronics Technician for United Technologies. Purple was her favorite color. Judith enjoyed fishing, camping, baking, gardening, canning, and watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She loved her pets and will be missed by her dogs, Wanda and Baby, and her cat, Baby.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mark (Crystal) Golding, Herbst, Kellie (Daniel) Peal, Marion, Chuck (Lisa) Chaffin, Jr., Marion, Tom (Pam) Chaffin, Sweetser, Max (Curt Cahill) Herrell, Marion, and Kathy (Earl) Gerstorff, Jonesboro; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and sister, Sandra (Al) Thompson, MI.
Friends and family may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 16, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
