Jeffrey Earl Gates, 49, Marion, died at 3:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in Marion General Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late William Earl Gates and Mary Ann (Petrucce) Gates. He was a Marion High School graduate and attended IU School of Business.
Jeffrey enjoyed golf and tennis and was a fan of the IU sports and the Indianapolis Colts. In addition to his love for sports, Jeffrey was a very adventurous person.
In addition to his mother, Jeffrey is survived by a sister, Jennifer Gates, Marion; a maternal grandmother; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park at a later date.
