Jamie M. Carter, 44, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in his home.
He was born in Ft. Wayne, to Dee-Dee Burnham on December 16, 1972.
Jamie was a 1991 graduate of Manchester High School, North Manchester and continued his education at Vincennes University and graduated from Marion Community School Of Practical Nursing in 2005. He was a construction worker and also, worked with a tree service for many years and most recently working as a roofer. He loved to be outdoors.
Jamie was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan and all who knew Jamie were aware of his love for sports. He was a life long Chicago Cubs and LA Lakers fan as well. There was not a question regarding sports he couldn’t answer. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale JR. BUT his greatest enjoyment of all was the time spent with his three daughters. He LOVED his girls, they were his WORLD.
Survivors include mother, Dee-Dee Burnham, Marion; daughters, Mya Carter, North Manchester, Taylor Stahlman, Marion, Jordyn Manuel-Carter, Marion; Fiancée, Kimberly Sevier-Manuel, Marion; and children Jaeda Manuel and Jerrin Manuel; brothers, Jason (Heather) Hawkins, Marion, Doug Carter, North Manchester, Dan(Sara) Enyeart, Ft. Wayne and Jacob(Christy) Hawkins; sisters, Angelia (Joe) Norton, Marion, Maria(Anthony) Elliott, Montpelier and Beth Carter, Upland; nephews, Peyton Burnham, Brandon Arven, Noah Love and Collin Williams; nieces, Aaliyah Haynes, Myriah Stahlsmith, Cassie Hawkins, Cierra Hawkins and Destiny Martin; second mom and dear friend, Patti Sevier, Marion.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Burnham and Mike and Donna Carter.
Family and friends may call Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2pm-5pm and 6pm-8pm in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, In.
Funeral Services will be at 10am on Saturday, January 28, 2017 with additonal visitation from 9am-until services in the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Smith officiating. Burial will be at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
Immediately following the graveside services please join Jamie’s family at Clarence Faulkner Community Center 1221 W. 12th Street in Marion to celebrate and honor the memory of Jamie M. Carter.
