Jackie Dale Orr, 68, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Autumn Ridge Rehab Centre in Wabash, Indiana. He was born to the late Elmer Ray and Emily Lucille (Bowles) Orr on July 1, 1947 in Wabash, Indiana.
Jackie worked at Arc of Wabash County for over 30 years and was loved by all. Jackie also had a love for music and when he heard a song he could tell you the artist and year.
Jackie is survived by his brothers and sisters, Alice Ross of Roann, Indiana, Gary Wayne (Betty) Orr of Houston, Texas, Linda Kay (Dave) Collins of Andrews, Indiana, Carol Jean (Craig) Engle of Wabash, Indiana, Cheryl Ann (Bill) August of Las Vegas, Nevada, Steven Randall (Gayelyn) Orr of Wabash, Indiana and Floy Hodson of Indianapolis, Indiana; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Orr of Wabash, Indiana and Mona Sue Orr of Morganton, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Ray Orr.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Terry Hinds officiating. Burial will follow in Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Preferred memorials are directed to Arc of Wabash County, P.O. Box 400, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
