Imogene L. Tyler, age 95, of Huntington, passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 at 8:35 am at Millers Merry Manor, Huntington. She had worked at Ball Band in Mishawaka, at Memcor for 5 years, and retired after 11 years of service from Majestic in 1982. She enjoyed fishing and her dog Maggie.
Imogene was born June 9, 1921, in Laud, IN, the daughter of Harley and Olive (Dewitt) Martz. On April 16, 1940, she married her beloved husband Joseph G. Tyler and he passed away October 22, 1971. She is survived by 2 sons Joe L. Tyler of Huntington and Richard E. Tyler of Andrews, 6 grandchildren Chasity (Larry) Colestock, Desirea Tyler, Joel Harrell, Ashley Tyler, Justin Tyler, and Josi Tyler and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Becky Harrell, grandson Chad Tyler, 3 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 16 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel and 9:30- 10:30 am preceding the 10:30 am funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Markle Cemetery.
