Imogene G. Minton, 93, of Warren, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born on Wednesday, October 11, 1922, in White County, IN to George W. & Mary E. (Sheets) McCarty. She married Walter E. Minton on Tuesday, June 09, 1953 in Uniondale, IN, he passed away on July 07, 1979. Imogene formerly worked at GE in Ft. Wayne and retired from Corning Glass in Bluffton. She loved spending time with her animals, walking and sight seeing. She especially enjoyed the years that her and Walt lived in Arizona because of all the different landscapes she was able to see. Imogene will be missed by her loving and caring friends Terry & Dee Dolby.
She was preceded in death by her: Father – George W. McCarty, Mother – Mary E. (Sheets) McCarty, Husband – Walter E. Minton and siblings.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel 801 Huntington Ave. Warren on Monday, February 01, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service to celebrate Imogene’s life will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
