Henry “Clay” Driver, 84, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 10:48 AM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his home in Montpelier, IN. He was born on Monday, November 13, 1933, in Scottsville, KY. He married Peggy (Malston) Driver on Thursday, April 18, 1968 in Alexandria, IN. Clay attended school in Scottsville, KY. He had worked for Owens-Illinois in Gas City, IN, and Sheller Globe in Montpelier from 1972-1994. He enjoyed going to and setting up at flea markets, playing Euchre, gardening, and loved helping others by providing canned goods to those in need. Above anything else Clay loved getting to spend time with his family and grandchildren.
Loving Survivors Include his Wife – Peggy (Malston) Driver, Montpelier, IN, Step Sons – Bud (Tina) Garmon, Eaton, IN, Roger (Yolanda) Garmon, Montpelier, IN, Daughter – Sherry (Bobby) Perry, Scottsville, KY, Brother – Phillip (Teresa) Driver, Scottsville, KY, Sisters – Virginia Conner, Scottsville, KY,Faye Buchannan, Scottsville, KY, Kathy (Clay) Moore, Westmoreland, TN, 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and several Step Grandchildren & Step Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Albert K. Driver, Mother – Mamie L. (Swindell) Driver, Step Son – Gary Garmon, Brother – Bill Driver, Sister – Sue Medley, and Sister – Margaret Bratcher.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Clay’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2018 with Rev. Bob Bothast officiating. Interment will follow in the Alexandria IOOF Cemetery.
