Henry A Decker, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:04 pm, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. He was born August 25, 1941 in Peru, Indiana to Dallas and Catherine V. (Gambee) Decker.

Henry married Sue “Karen” Malott at the Northside Evangelical United Brethren Church in Wabash on October 20, 1962; she died July 3, 2012. He worked at Celotex in Lagro, Indiana 34 years retiring in 2001. Henry was a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church where he was a former deacon and sang in the church choir. He lived most of his life in Wabash. He enjoyed attending Honeywell House events and was active in the Wabash County Historical Society at the Wabash County Museum.

He is survived by five children, Lori A. (Steven) Foust of Roann, Indiana, Dallas (Rebel Ann) Decker of Wabash, Lisa Decker, Henry Decker Jr., and  James Decker, all of Peru, Indiana; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn daughter, a great granddaughter; his brother, Larry A. Decker; and his foster parents, Paul and Helen Roth.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, March 17, 2017 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, Rev. Jonathan Cornell officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call Friday from 12 – 2:00 pm before the service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Wabash Presbyterian Church.
