PERU, Ind. – Tony Slocum of the Indiana State Police reported to Mibash News concerning a shooting incident that occurred at a home on the West end of Peru on Saturday. Slocum said the Peru Police Department responded to a report of a male that was suicidal. Soon after officers arrived on the scene the subject shot himself in the head. Immediately officers, in conjunction with medical personnel, administered first aid but unfortunately the male died at the scene from a self inflicted gunshot wound. No one else was injured in the incident. We will have more details on this as the report becomes available.
