Eva E. Wilson, 87, formerly of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:30 pm, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born January 4, 1930 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Charles Brickley and Mary Mae (Boucher) Brickley Phelps.
Eva first married Hobert Young and he preceded her in death. She then married Wendell J. Wilson in Wabash on January 19, 1973; he died February 5, 1990. She retired from General Tire in Wabash in 1973 after 11 years. Eva was a member of Wabash Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing cards, dominos, fishing, checkers, and watching sports.
She is survived by three children, Charles (Stella) Young of Paintsville, Kentucky, Linda Neal of Wabash, and Vickie Sanders of North Manchester, Indiana; step daughter Joyce (Benjamin) DelVecchio of Avon, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Paul Young, one sister Betty Ward, and two brothers, Paul and Jerry Brickley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 6, 2017 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Kirk Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash Church of the Nazarene.
