Michael and Lucinda (Bergens) Reeves mourn the loss of their sweet daughter, Esther Kate Reeves, who was born without heartbeat at 4:03 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Marion General Hospital. They know, though, that God is with them in this difficult time and are standing on His promises found in Lamentations 3:21-24: “Yet this I call to mind and, therefore, I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for Him.'”

Esther is survived by her brother, Abraham Reeves; sister, Hannah Reeves; maternal grandparents, James and Susan Bergens; paternal grandmother, Marj Reeves; aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Matthew Oquist and their son, Samuel, Rebekah and Joshua Zehnder, Julie and Lee Nelson and their daughter, Danielle, Becky and Henry Hampton and their daughters, Diana and Elizabeth; and maternal great-grandmother, Anna Marie Bergens.

Preceding her in death were her cousin, Levi Nelson; paternal grandfather, Michael Reeves; maternal great-grandfather, Andrew Bergens; maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Patricia Bartlett; and paternal great-grandparents, Ira and Adell Reeves and John and Ethel Sears.
