Dorothy E. MacFarlane

Dorothy E. MacFarlane, age 94, of Huntington, died at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Monday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Zen Hess and Dr. Sam Young officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Central Christian Church or Heartland Hospice, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Dorothy was born on August 26, 1923 in Banquo, the daughter of Elmer M. and Mary E. (Carl) Lange. She graduated from Huntington High School and married Wilson MacFarlane on December 3, 1940 in Huntington; he preceded her in death on December 31, 1982. worked in the Huntington High School Cafeteria and at Huntington Mutual Insurance Co. She also worked in the Huntington County Assessor’s Office and as a Wal-Mart greeter. She was a member of Central Christian Church, where she was actively involved in Christian Women’s Fellowship, her Sunday school class, and Singles with a Vision. She enjoyed her Euchre Club in Huntington and North Manchester as well as Grandmother’s Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Gary) Yeiter of Huntington, two grandchildren, Katrina Weicht and Kylie Yeiter Vennemann, three great grandchildren, Dominic Weicht, Chance Vennemann, and Brayden Weicht, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a sister, Vontella Reinhart, and a brother, Rex Lange, precede her in death.
