David V. Bailey

After a short battle with cancer, David V. Bailey, 43, Indianapolis, died in his home at 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born in Portland, Oregon, on July 5, 1974, to Marvin and Patricia (Bryson) Bailey.

David attended Mississinewa High School before transferring to and graduating from Indiana Academy. He continued his post-secondary education at University of West Florida, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

David loved scuba diving and animals. He was also an avid gamer and enjoyed the sun.

He is survived by his father, Marvin Bailey; siblings, Byron Bailey, Jonesboro, Rebecca (James) Willis, Marion, Dan Bailey, Angola, Rachel Bailey, Portland, Oregon, Jon Bailey, Indianapolis, Jennifer Bailey, Jonesboro, and Julie Bailey, Portland, Oregon; and nieces and nephews, Jordan Willis and Leah Willis, both from Marion, Collin Bailey, Noblesville, and Miles Murgaw, Jonesboro.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Patricia Bailey, and aunt, Linda Bryson.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services for David.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
