Daniel, 62, was born in Frankton, Indiana on February 10, 1954 to the late Robert and Georgina (Daniels) Atchison. He passed away on November 18, 2016 in his Marion home.
Daniel was a graduate of Frankton High School and worked most of his life in the construction industry. Most recently, he was employed with Miller Pipe Line. He married Valerie K. Huffman on August 31, 1985. Mrs. Atchison survives.
Daniel was a proud father and grandfather and often purchased homes for his family near his own home assuring they would be near to him. He was a deep rooted family man and he was happiest surrounded by his grandchildren. His devotion to his family was immeasurable.
Daniel is also survived by his three daughters, Cheryl L. Brown, Colorado; Michelle L. (Richard) Burns and Jennifer A. (Bryan) Eskridge, both of Marion; 5 sisters, Barbara Rush, Elkhart, Colletta (Emmit) Crowder and Deborah (Randy) Streetman, all of Elkhart; Nadine Dickson, Bristol, Indiana; Sheliah (Kenny) Gross, Frankton; 7 grandchildren, Eric Brown, Allie Brown, Ricky Bearden,Danielle Eskridge, Trey Eskridge, Zach Burns, Kaylee Burns; mother-in-law, Janet L. Huffman, Marion.
He is preceded in death by his brother, William Atchison; sister, Johanna King; grandson, Bryan Eskridge, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the funeral home.
Funeral services will begin at 11am, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Chuck Vernon officiating.
