Charles Edward Furnish, Jr.

Charles Edward Furnish, Jr., 70, Marion, passed away in his home at 12:35 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018. He was born in Marion on May 5, 1947, to the late Charles Edward and June (Whiteman) Furnish, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of Grant County. Charles married Glendora Hale on August 23, 2000, and she survives.

Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country for 20 years. Following his military service, he worked at BF Goodrich, where he was an electrician. Charles will be remembered for how much he loved everybody and how easy-going and compassionate he was. He loved watching deer and birds and enjoyed building birdhouses.

He is survived by his wife, Glendora; son, Tracy Furnish; step-daughter, Stacy (Greg) Swanner; step-daughter-in-law, Sherry Lucas; grandson, Jacob Furnish; step-granddaughter, Brittany Lucas; step-grandson, Corbin Lee Lucas; great-grandchildren, Kay’Lynn Lucas and TJ Page; and sister, Captola Liles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Lee Eric Lucas.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services for Charles.

Arrangements are entrusted to Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
