Carolyn A. Deeg, 76 of Huntington passed away at 11:15 pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice. Carolyn was a graduate of Huntington High School. She had worked for several years at Triad-Utrad/Magnetek in Huntington. She later retired form Midwest Poultry in 2009. She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Carolyn was born on March 28, 1940 in Huntington, the daughter of Charles and Louise (Holly) Denton.
She was united in marriage to Walter Deeg on June 20, 1982 in Huntington. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Janet (Andy) Offutt of Colorado Springs, CO; Margaret (Jim) Eloph of Fort Wayne; a son: Donald Garrison of Huntington; four stepsons: Michael Deeg of Huntington; Marvin Deeg of Fort Wayne; Melvin Deeg of Fort Wayne; Mark Deeg of Huntington; a sister: Linda (Ken) Juillerat of Huntington; two brothers: Charles “Bud” Denton, Jr. of Huntington; Floyd “Tom” Denton of Andrews; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: William Allen Garrison and a brother: Emerson Denton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00am at the St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine Street, with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating.
Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery.
