Bob D. Mauger

Bob D. Mauger, 85 of Huntington passed away at 11:30 pm on Monday, November 14, 2016 at his residence. Bob had attended Union Township and Rock Creek Schools in Huntington County. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict from 1954 – 1956. He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, reading and playing his guitar. He was a member of the American Legion Post 85 and the VFW Post 2689 both of Huntington.

Bob was born on August 7, 1931 in Huntington, the son of Branson and Ollie (Smith) Mauger.

Survivors include four brothers: Jack (Judy) Mauger of Warren; Roger (Carol) Mauger of Fort Wayne; Jay (Judith) Mauger of Taylors, SC; Richard (Andrea) Mauger of Huntington; a sister: Linda (Kenneth) Poulson of Warren; caregiver: Denise Aurand; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Branson and Ollie Mauger and a sister: Judy Hartzler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.

Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
