Annamae Butler, 79, Van Buren, died at 1:46 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Annamae was born in Matthews, IN, to the late Ray A. and Edith (Tutorow) Needler. She married Barney A. Butler, Sr., on April 7, 1956, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1997.
Annamae was a homemaker for most of her life. She had previously worked at Crystal Laundry in Jonesboro. Annamae enjoyed working on crafts and spending time with her dogs.
Survivors include her son, Barney Butler, Jr., Van Buren; siblings, Glenna Clay, Marion, and Leonard Needler, Converse; sister-in-law, Betty Fakes, Marion; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, preceding Annamae in death were her daughter, Brenda Butler, on May 1, 2015; and half-brother, William Needler.
Friends and family may call from 4-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Services for Annamae will be at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
