Allen Persley, 80, of Jonesboro, Indiana, died at 2:42 am, Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born July 22, 1935 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Glen and Alma Louise (Way) Persley.

Allen was a 1954 graduate of Noble Twp High School. He married Donna Farthing and she survives. He operated the Jonesboro Water Utility for many years. He was a very talented builder, collected Coca-Cola memorabilia and marbles, and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Karen Converse of Jonesboro, three grandchildren, Tom Persley and Neil (Catherine) Persley, both of Hamilton, Ohio, and Michelle (Ronald) Moore of Lagro, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Kent and Robert Persley.

Funeral services and entombment will be 1:00 pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor John Cook officiating. Friends may call 12-1 pm Tuesday, at the cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
