Alejandro Gutierrez, age 69, of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2016 in Marion Rehab, Marion, Indiana.
He was born January 31, 1947, in Pharr, Texas, the son of the late Able Gutierrez, Sr. and Beatrice (Barrera) Gutierrez. He was a self-employed semi-truck driver and owned Texas Star Trucking. He had also worked at Atlas Foundry for 13 years.
Alejandro loved to fish, mechanical and electrical work and enjoyed working with his hands building cars. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Alejandro Gutierrez, Jr. (A.J.) of Edinburg, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Gutierrez of Marion, Indiana, Amanda (Bill) Sapp of Marion, Indiana, Angela Gutierrez of Fairmount, Indiana, Alexsandra Gutierrez of Marion, Indiana, Amber Gutierrez of Edinburg, Texas, and Abby Gutierrez of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Able Gutierrez, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Alfredo (Rosie) Gutierrez of Edinburg, Texas; sister, Beatrice (Bob) Sibley of Howell, Michigan; grandchildren, Jaylind Elliott, Brody Crosby, Katelynn Cottrell, Ayden Elliott, Camden Sapp, Noaln Elliott, Aubriella Cruz, Abram Prado and Mauricio Cruz; his significant other, Margie Anzaldua of Marion, Indiana; and special nephew, Able P. Gutierrez of Edinburg, Texas.
He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Cody and Teegan.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation will take place.
