Adam G. Thompson, 28, Marion, died at 6:06 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion on June 21, 1989, to Timothy and Gail (Midgette) Thompson.

Adam was a 2008 graduate of Marion High School, where he played football for the Giants. Following high school, he worked in shipping and receiving at Capstone Logistics and had also done an electrical internship. He was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers. Some of his hobbies included bow hunting and cage fighting all over the state of Indiana. He was also a big fan of tattoos. Adam’s greatest joy in life, though, were his children. He was a simple man and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He will be missed by his mother, Gail Thompson; son, Hunter Thompson; daughter, Nia Thompson; siblings, Tim Thompson, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Angela Marin, Van Buren, and Andy (Theresa Thieleke) Thompson, Kokomo; grandparents, Gene (Patty) Thompson, Jonesboro, and Betty (Don) Leach, Ponce De Leon, Florida; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and step-dad, Billy Evans.

Preceding him in death were his father, Timothy Thompson; brother, James Thompson; nephew, Caiden Thompson; grandparents, Sherman (Linda) Small; and brother-in-law, Sam Marin.

At the family’s request, there will be private services.
