Zola L. Watson, 86, Hartford City, passed away at 12:50 am on Friday, July 9, 2021, at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City. She was born in Warren, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 12, 1935, to William and Hazel (LaMotte) McDonald. On June 27, 1992, she married Kenneth Eugene Watson and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2013.
Zola liked to fish, bake, crochet and knit.
Survivors include her children, Dallas Adair of Dunkirk, Kimberly (Bob) Mitchell of Hartford City, Cristey Adair of Portland, Pam Vance of Pennville, Darlene (Nick) Ray of Pennville; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel McDonald; husband, Kenneth Eugene Watson; son, Kenneth Adair; sisters, Juanita Miller, Genevieve McDonald, Vivian Flemming, Armella Harnes; and brothers, Delano McDonald, Wallace McDonald, Lowell McDonald, Noel McDonald, and William McDonald.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Zola’s life will begin at 12:30 pm with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
